Role Overview: As an Engineering Manager of DevOps, you will work closely with the members of your team being both hands-on and a mentor. You will work to ensure our systems are deployed and our engineering team can safely own as much of their work as possible in production. You will develop a deep understanding of the people, technologies, and practices of your team, and apply your expertise to planning, prioritization, and execution. Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the DevOps team, ensuring they have the skills and resources to support the organization's AWS-based infrastructure and SaaS product built on Python.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s IT infrastructure, including AWS networks, EC2 instances, S3 storage, and communication systems.
- Ensure the security, reliability, and scalability of IT systems, using AWS services and best practices to support the company's Python-based SaaS product.
- Hands-on involvement in implementing identity management tools such as SSO, IAM, FIM, and IdP solutions, ensuring secure access management and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure is aligned with business needs and supports continuous delivery and integration practices.
- Maintain high system availability and performance, ensuring robust monitoring and alerting across the AWS environment.
- Lead incident management and troubleshooting efforts, applying hands-on problem-solving for production and infrastructure issues.
Preferred Experience:
- Strong experience with AWS infrastructure, including services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC, with a focus on scalability, automation, and security for SaaS environments.
- Proficient in managing and automating CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, streamlining the deployment and testing of applications.
- Hands-on experience with GitLab for version control and repository management, ensuring efficient code collaboration and review processes.
- Solid understanding of observability and monitoring tools, especially Dynatrace, to ensure system performance, reliability, and proactive issue resolution.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation, to automate provisioning and manage AWS resources.
- Expertise in containerization and orchestration technologies, like Docker and Kubernetes, to build scalable, fault-tolerant systems.
- Proficient in automation practices, focusing on reducing manual effort and improving operational efficiency across infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
- Experience in Python development is a plus, with the ability to debug and troubleshoot application issues and infrastructure bottlenecks.
- Familiarity with security best practices in AWS, including IAM roles, security groups, and data encryption for SaaS products.
- Track record of leading DevOps teams in a fast-paced, agile environment, with a focus on continuous integration, delivery, and improvement.
What you'll need:

- A bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field
- Be able to travel to the office twice a month
