The Role

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our team.In this role, you'll play a key part in designing, building, and optimizing Pear's frontend systems, ensuring every interaction with Pear is seamless, engaging, and impactful.

You Will

• Architect, design, write, review, and test code in a collaborative environment with other software engineers, ensuring high performance and scalability.
• Build elegant, intuitive, and accessible interfaces, leveraging React and other modern frontend technologies and frameworks.
• Work closely with stakeholders across product, design, marketing, and engineering teams to deliver shopper-first marketing tools and solutions that drive engagement and sales.
• Lead initiatives to improve the efficiency and quality of our development processes, advocating for best practices and innovative approaches.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure Pear remains at the forefront of frontend innovation.
• Contribute to the development and mentorship of junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
  
  

You Have

• 5+ years of experience writing idiomatic JavaScript/ Node.js
• Experience and love for building performant React applications
• Fluency in CSS and HTML and know how to build around browser limitations
• A passion for helping your teammates grow their front-end skillset
• Experience using a modern version-control system for your source code repository (Git, Mercurial, GitHub, BitBucket).
• Always linted your code or, at the very least, knew you should.
• You know what parts of your code require tests and you write those tests.
• Knowledge of what parts of your code require tests and you write those tests.
• Experience with cloud computing systems (GCP, AWS, etc.) and SAAS concepts.
• Leveraged continuous integration systems to their full extent (Github Actions, CircleCI, Bamboo, Jenkins, TravisCI).
• Experience deploying, troubleshooting, and maintaining your systems in production and staging environments.
  
  

Compensation

The base compensation for this role is $170,000-$200,000. Salary is based around a number of factors including geography, experience, and skillset.
