Job Description
As we continue to scale globally, we’re looking for a hands-on Head of People & Culture to shape and lead the next phase of our people strategy.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced People leader to build and nurture a world-class employee experience across a globally distributed team. Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll be responsible for developing and delivering the people strategy that supports our ambitious growth plans.
More specifically, you will:
- Define and execute a global HR strategy aligned with Veremark’s strategic roadmap and growth plans.
- Build and scale best-in-class talent acquisition and onboarding processes.
- Own productivity analytics and reporting – utilising insights to drive and inform workforce planning.
- Manage payroll and contractor payments globally, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
- Oversee global HR compliance and policies, with an emphasis on the UK and APAC.
- Own the HR and payroll technology stack and service provider relationships.
- Lead the HR integration of planned acquisitions, ensuring seamless cultural and operational alignment to quickly achieve a one-team mindset.
- Lead initiatives to strengthen performance, development and engagement to embed and evolve a high performance culture.
- Design and oversee compensation and career frameworks, including coordinating all variable incentive schemes.
- Lead cultural initiatives to ensure Veremark remains a great place to work.
Qualifications
We’re looking for a People leader who combines strategic vision with a hands-on approach, and who thrives in the pace and ambiguity of a global scale-up. You’ll be comfortable working across borders, building scalable processes, and driving cultural alignment while keeping people at the heart of everything you do.
Ideally, you will bring:
- Proven senior-level experience in People & Culture / HR leadership roles within high-growth, international organisations.
- Strong knowledge of global HR compliance and employment frameworks, with particular expertise in the UK and APAC.
- Demonstrated ability to design and scale talent acquisition, onboarding, and performance management processes for distributed teams.
- Experience managing global payroll, HR systems, and third-party provider relationships.
- A track record of successfully leading HR integration of mergers and acquisitions.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data and insights to inform workforce planning, productivity, and decision-making.
- Deep expertise in building and evolving compensation, benefits, and career frameworks to attract and retain top talent.
- A passion for fostering high-performance, inclusive cultures where people feel engaged, developed, and inspired.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at executive level while remaining approachable to team members at every level.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
